Our early preschool classroom serves children ages 2 and 3. Creative Curriculum for Preschool is used in this classroom, which highlights brain development and encourages students to pursue their interests while learning basic academic skills.

Theme: "K" is for Kitties
Monday: Today we’ll read “The Cat Came Back” and make a graph to show who in our classroom has a kitty at their house.
Skill Focus: Math & Literacy
Tuesday: Let’s sing “3 Little Kittens” and make a paper plate craft too.
Skill Focus: Art & Music
Wednesday: We’ll wash some kittens in our Kitten sensory bin and sing the phonics song.

Thursday: Let’s try a milk coloring experiment and sing “I Love My White Shoes.”

Friday: Today we’ll explore a snow bin and try a lacing activity too.

6:00-7:30 Combined in infant room
7:30-8:30 Gross motor time outside or in the gym
8:30- 8:45 Bodily care routines and hand washing
8:45- 9:15 Breakfast
9:15-9:30 Sharing circle/plan for work/calendar/story
9:15-10:15 Work time (child’s choice of work) which includes:
Small group-teacher directed activity
Begin bodily care routines at 10:00
10:15-11:15 Gross motor time outside or in the gym
11:15-11:45 Music & movement/bodily care routines
12:15-12:30 Prepare for rest
Clean up lunch area
Restroom as needed
12:30-2:45 Rest time on cots
At 1:45 Quiet activities are offered for those awake
Bodily care routines upon waking
3:00-3:20 Afternoon snack
3:20-4:00 Afternoon work time/ Individual choice time/planned activity offered
4:00-5:00 Free choice or gross motor time outside or in the gym
5:00-6:00 Classroom combined for free choice or gross motor time outside or in the gym
